Overview the Business Development Team:
The business development team is a group of strategic thinkers who create and market dynamic continuing education seminars and courses. This team focuses on identifying and evaluating topics for mental health, healthcare and rehab professionals that are both relevant and exciting for professionals to attend. Additionally, this team builds relationships with expert speakers, trainers, and authors in the fields of psychotherapy and healthcare, assisting them in the design of seminars and online courses, developing clear marketing strategies and compelling sales copy; while collaborating with a small, close-knit team. This is a team of experience business-minded professionals with whom you will grow and expand your knowledge by collaboration and innovation.

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Identify the latest trends, techniques, approaches, topics, and voices in the field psychotherapy, healthcare and rehabilitation that are most relevant to professionals
  • Turn those ideas into compelling seminars, courses, and training programs that professionals will find useful and want to attend
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing presenters
  • Create data-driven direct mail and digital marketing campaigns through writing compelling sales copy and determining the most pertinent target audience
  • Maintain a robust knowledge of the field of psychotherapy and healthcare 
  • Analyze effectiveness of marketing strategies and align future campaigns with current data and trends.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively by creating goals for yourself, meeting deadlines, and communicating ideas clearly to team members

What You Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in one or more areas marketing, new business development, product 
  • development or business ownership  
  • Budgeting, analysis and negotiation skills 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Willingness to take risks 
  • Evening/weekend calls/emails when emergencies might arise with speakers and travel issues 
  • Flexibility to be self-motivated but also excel in a team environment 
  • A keen entrepreneurial drive

Overview the Customer Service Team:
The PESI Customer Service Team delivers customer service and technical support for behavioral health, rehab, and healthcare professionals around the world!  We provide Best-In-Class service by engaging our customers through answering phone calls, emails and live chats.  Our goal is to support and assist professionals in identifying and utilizing our educational programming, not only to earn continuing education credit, but apply the knowledge gained from our experts to improve the lives of their clients and patients.  

The support our Customer Service Team gives - not only to our customers, but to other departments in the company - ensures delivery of PESI’s world-class programs.  These programs allow professionals to treat their clients and improve patient outcomes for tens of thousands of adults and children each year!   

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Professionally monitor and handle incoming phone and e-mail requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly
  • Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information, access and fulfill customer needs, educate the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contacts and document interactions in our system(s)
  • Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas including, but not limited to; registration, program content, continuing education credits, webcasts, product orders and association memberships in a timely manner
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience
  • Provide technical support for accessing online registrations and online programs
  • Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
  • Sell products and services by informing customers of relevant add-ons’ and promotions
  • Collaborate with other departments by working on projects outside of the customer service area
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, re-ships, cancelations and/or exchanges
  • Utilize computer technology to handle high call volumes 
  • Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered
  • Responsible for meeting customer service standards outlined by PESI Inc.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)
  • Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience in customer service/support
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service or help desk capacity strongly preferred 
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal as the role requires extensive phone use
  • Has "thick skin" and is able to handle complaints and unpleasant customers
  • Ability to research and resolve complex customer issues and possess strong decision making and analytical skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed (Monday – Friday hours vary from 6:30 am – 8:00 pm) - currently hiring for 11am – 8 pm schedule
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality
  • Must type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Some experience with multiline telephones and strong technical aptitude preferred  
  • Possess the skill and ability to quickly pick up new technologies and software
  • Knowledge of technical support issues related to Internet connectivity and PC troubleshooting experience a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Reader

Overview of the Digital Marketing Technology Team:
The digital marketing technology team is utilizing cutting edge technology solutions to broadcast PESI’s mission around the globe. This is a team of experienced digital marketers with whom you will grow and expand your knowledge by collaboration and innovation.

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Thoughtfully and strategically curate content that drives customer engagement and builds brand recognition in the marketplace.
  • Be an active leader in keeping our website and its content up to date and continuously evolving
  • In an effort to create and curate content: write blogs, conduct interviews, ask meaningful questions, research topical areas and competitors. Be intellectually curious!
  • Create, manage and effectively distribute strategic and engaging content including blog posts, graphics, videos, interviews, eBooks, and other content across digital platforms including, but not limited to, our website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, etc.
  • Define and develop content strategies, and corresponding process flows, that help to guide the customer journey
  • Serve as the main point of contact for speaker/customer generated content, becoming a trusted advisor
  • Complete site reviews, content audits, and competitor analysis in efforts to advise and drive content strategy
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches to leverage, extend or repurpose content to increase customer engagement
  • Collaborate with SEO, digital marketing and business development teams to create content that supports key marketing campaigns
  • Create and maintain content calendars, production schedules, and content dissemination plans
  • Review, edit and proofread content before go live/execution.
What You Will Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)
  • 5+ years’ experience in content strategy and content creation, strong writing and editorial skills desired
  • Portfolio of digital work proving an ability to demonstrate both writing and content strategy capabilities
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in journalism, writing, English, psychology, digital marketing or related fields
  • Able to balance high standards for content quality with ambitious traffic and engagement objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience growing and engaging an online audience

The direct mail marketing team is a group of strategic and analytical thinkers who create and organize direct mail campaign strategies for continuing education seminars and courses. This team focuses on developing effective, accurate and timely marketing campaigns for seminars, courses and products for mental health, healthcare and rehab professionals. Additionally, this team is responsible for identifying, acquiring and building marketing lists and analyzing market data. This is a team of experienced business-minded professionals with whom you will grow and expand your knowledge by collaboration and innovation.

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Develop, implement and manage direct mail plan strategies
  • Analyze direct mail campaign performance using established metrics to evaluate effectiveness and success
  • Present and recommend key takeaways for improvement of direct mail performance using cost-benefit analysis
  • Compile list data for individual marketing campaigns from various sources
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to schedule and facilitate execution of marketing campaigns
  • Update, manage and maintain list data in Marketing Databases
  • Identify and implement new testing strategies for our mailings that promotes list growth and drives revenue
  • Strategically manage and negotiate the purchases of mailing lists across multiple markets to aid in campaign success
  • Manipulate and manage mail databases utilizing Excel or other data visualization software
  • Analyze effectiveness of marketing strategies and align future campaigns with current data and trends.
